"I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart.

I am, I am, I am.”

-Sylvia Plath

My name is Cody Raisch, I’m an Ojibwe writer & artist living in Minneapolis with my fiancé Eric, and my tuxedo cat, Bruce ♡.

I love all things technicolor and analog. I feel a strong attachment to small wave art movements like Bauhaus, Fauvism, Italian horror movies, and punk music. I like things fast and vivid, so I can feel that rush you only get from living a real present moment.

My personal style is inspired by many cultures of the past– 60s fashion, 80s romantics, 90s grunge music. And as for myself, well, I’m a millennial, and I’m happy about that. I was never two years behind or five years ahead– I was always right on time.

I love experiencing culture first hand, so travel and new experiences are super important to me in a creative way. I prefer wandering in new places as though I already live there. The weird, eclectic, and kitschy spots draw me in, because I like to keep things a little odd.

This blog is at most– a home to share my creativity and adventures with the world, and at the least– a diary of my years. If you like my adventures, stay a while!

Kindly,
-Cody (TheRollerCodester)
